Abstract

This article addresses the protective and vulnerability factors that impact school success or failure. The main objective is to characterize the affective bonds experienced in families to establish their influence on academic performance in a school population aged 8 to 11 years. For this, an investigation with a qualitative approach and phenomenological design was implemented, since it was fundamentally focused on exploring, describing and understanding family experiences and how they affect the integral development of children in their affective, social, cognitive and their dimensions impact on learning processes.
