Apego entre iguales y su relación con la percepción del sexismo en adolescentes

Los patrones de apego entre compañeros en el ámbito escolar podrían estar relacionados con la forma en que los adolescentes perciben el sexismo, entendido como la identificación de creencias de género que refuerzan desigualdades y estereotipos. El objetivo de esta investigación fue determinar la relación entre los estilos de apego entre iguales y la percepción del sexismo en adolescentes. Para la recolección de datos se emplearon escalas tipo Likert validadas que miden las dimensiones de confianza, comunicación y alienación (apego), así como los componentes hostil y benevolente del sexismo. Ante la ausencia de una distribución normal en los datos, se aplicaron análisis no paramétricos. Los resultados revelaron una correlación negativa, moderada y significativa entre ambas variables: a mayor nivel de apego entre iguales, menor es la percepción del sexismo. Específicamente, las dimensiones de comunicación y alienación mostraron los vínculos más fuertes con las actitudes sexistas, mientras que la confianza presentó una relación más débil pero igualmente significativa. En conclusión, el fortalecimiento de los vínculos afectivos y comunicativos entre compañeros se asocia con percepciones de género más críticas y menos estereotipadas, sugiriendo que la calidad del apego es un factor clave para promover interacciones sociales más equitativas durante la adolescencia.
