Síndrome de Burnout em Policiais Militares do Brasil: análise de fatores associados e mediação

A Síndrome de Burnout é um fenômeno psicossocial, resposta aos estressores crônicos presentes no contexto de trabalho. Policiais militares pertencem a uma categoria profissional de risco. O presente estudo teve dois objetivos: o primeiro foi verificar o papel preditivo do Trabalho emocional (Demandas emocionais e Dissonância emocional) e dos recursos do trabalho (Autoeficácia profissional e Qualidade da liderança) para a Síndrome de Burnout. O segundo objetivo foi identificar, dentre as variáveis preditoras de Autoeficácia profissional e Qualidade da liderança, aquelas que desempenham um papel mediador entre o Trabalho emocional, que inclui Demanda emocional e Dissonância emocional, e a Síndrome de Burnout. Participaram do estudo, que utilizou um método quantitativo e um delineamento observacional explicativo de corte transversal, 90 policiais militares que responderam a um questionário sobre dados sociodemográficos e laborais, incluindo o Cuestionario para la Evaluación del Síndrome de Quemarse por el Trabajo, duas subescalas do Trabalho emocional (demanda e dissonância), uma escala de Autoeficácia profissional e uma escala Multidimensional da qualidade da relação líder-membro. Os resultados, avaliados por meio de Análise de Regressão Múltipla, identificaram que quanto maior a Demanda emocional, maior o índice da Síndrome de Burnout e quanto mais elevados os índices do Afeto e da Autoeficácia profissional, menores são os níveis da síndrome. As variáveis Autoeficácia e Afeto funcionaram como mediadoras, diminuindo o impacto entre a Demanda emocional e Burnout. Os resultados indicam a necessidade de intervenções psicológicas vinculadas às competências relacionais e ao ambiente de trabalho, contribuindo assim para a saúde mental dos policiais militares.
